Erika Chapman
Erika Chapman holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and has over 20 years of experience working with children and youth in a variety of professional settings.
She is currently the Florence 1 Schools Parent Liaison for Programs for Exceptional Children. She has been in this role for 5 years and loves helping families get connected to resources.
Her daughter, Suubi, has attended camp for years, and Erika is excited to be part of Camp ADAPTabilities!

Bailee Twedell
Bailee Twedell holds a bachelors in mild to severe intellectual disabilities K-12 and a masters in curriculum and instruction. She has taught for 6 years and serves high school aged students with moderate/severe intellectual disabilities.
She is passionate about inclusion, communication devices and finding ways for her students to be apart of the community! This is her 3rd year as the camp teacher and her favorite part of camp is hands on crafts and sensory activities!

Nivea Watson holds a bachelor’s degree Multi-Categorical Special Education, a bachelor’s in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders, SC Literacy Teacher Endorsement, and a member of the Council for Exceptional Children has over 20 years of experience working with profound special needs children and youth with other disabilities in a variety of professional settings.
She is currently a Severe and Profound Exceptional Education Teacher for Chesterfield County School District. She has been in this role for 12 years and loves being an advocate her students while working collaboratively with others to help her students shine and grow in their own exceptional ways.
She began as a camp buddy in 2018, then was recruited to be camp director in 2020 to present. Being a part of the Camp Adaptabilities team is the best part of Nivea’s summer. Experiencing the excitement and joy that camp brings in the lives of our campers and their families makes it all worth it.
Mission Statement: To offer unique activities for Special Needs children and young adults, while providing a valued time of therapeutic teaching in a safe, loving and accepting environment.
